Dr. Joerger graduated with honors from St. Mary’s School in Raleigh, North Carolina. Upon graduating high school she received the prestigious Marian Drane Graham award. Dr. Joerger chose Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem for her undergraduate education. She graduated cum laude in 2006, double majoring in Biology and German. She then enrolled in the Medical University of South Carolina’s James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine, where she graduated with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. During her time in dental school, Dr. Joerger was able to go on dental mission trips to the African countries of Burundi and Uganda, as well as Ecuador. While on these trips, she gained valuable perspective on the vast dental and medical needs worldwide. Volunteering and giving back to the community is something Dr. Joerger is very passionate about. In order to further her education and broaden her scope of dental practice, Dr. Joerger attended a two-year General Practice Residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. During her residency, she gained valuable experience in treating medically complex patients and patients with dental trauma.
Since her residency, Dr. Joerger has worked as an associate dentist in a private practice in Charlotte. Her main goal is to provide high quality dental care to her patients in a fun and caring environment. Expanding her treatment capabilities through continuing education and current dental literature is a high priority for Dr. Joerger. She is Invisalign® certified.
Dr. Joerger enjoys spending time with her husband, Grant, and their three-year old West Highland Terrier, Winston. She enjoys doing just about anything outdoors but especially running and cycling. During football season she can be found cheering on her Carolina Panthers.
